Background & Experience
My PhD is in Educational Psychology, from the University of North Carolina (UNC). I studied child and adolescent development and disability, as well as the psychology of online learning.
I started my private practice in hypnotherapy in 2008, after training and an internship in clinical hypnosis with pain specialist Ron Eslinger, RN, CRNA, APN, MA, BCH, CI. I have worked with thousands of clients since then, and I also train and certify new hypnotherapists, which I have done since 2011.
From 2015-2018 l was an adjunct assistant professor at University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, running a clinic for patients with dental anxiety, and also working with children and teens with functional bowel disorders like IBS. I applied the Human Givens emotional needs framework to these young patients and taught them to relax using guided imagery with positive suggestions for change. Some of them got better in just a single session! Others needed a few more sessions to see improvements.

In 2020 I became a fully qualified Human Givens Therapist and opened a private practice office in Stirling. Now I have relocated to Perth, and I also see clients in-person at the weekends in Edinburgh. If you are not in the area or prefer to meet from the comfort of your own home, then you can work with me online.
